Pigeon Breeds

In Graphic Design Intensive, I was instructed to present a collection. Thinking back to what I learned in Research, Analysis, and Process, I made LATCH-sorted posters of pigeon breeds. LATCH sorting is a method of sorting collections based on a variety of criteria.

Mason's original plan for the pigeon breed analysis, which was a booklet.

Originally, I wanted to make a book demonstrating the differences between different pigeon breeds. However, this quickly turned into a LATCH-sorting poster series.

My LATCH sorting consisted of the following approaches:

Location (Country of Origin)

Alphabet (A-Z)

Time (of Development)

Category (US Group)

Hierarchy (Price)

Below are five 17 in x 11 in posters depicting each element of LATCH sorting. I also created individual 8.5 in x 11 in posters depicting each pigeon breed studied.
